HERE at Love Non-League, I received this great little story from Matt Smith.

Matt's on a roll right now, and like many of us has seen the light it seems, that non-league is best and that's why we LOVE NON-LEAGUE.

Matt's busy working on a non-league diary at this moment in time and read below, it's nearly finished.

It sounds fun and Matt, we want to hear from you when the finished diary is published.

So come on you publishers, give him a shout.

And to everyone who LOVES NON LEAGUE, let's have your stories. Cheers Matt.

Dear Mike

Congratulations on the Love Non League feature.

While driving home after watching my beloved Manchester City lose at home to Fulham at the end of last season, I started to think about setting myself a football challenge a little bit closer to home.

As a big fan of non-league football (my Dad played for Northwich Victoria among other clubs) I decided to watch a home game at all of the ECL clubs in Suffolk plus AFC Sudbury and Bury Town. I wondered how long it would take me.

Eight months, 750 miles and 68 goals later (not one 0-0 in sight!) I have watched games at 18 clubs in Suffolk and have just two left to do! I hope to finish at Lowestoft v Kirkley & Pakefield on Saturday 26 December.

Along the way I have written a diary about my experiences watching football throughout the county and will be looking for a publisher very soon.

I have enjoyed a beer in the sun at Hadleigh, got soaked at Felixstowe and almost froze at Mildenhall but every game has been fantastic and each club magical in their own way. Non league football has so much to offer lovers of football and I highly recommend fans to go and watch their local team.

Any comments or thought from fans (or publishers) would be most welcome.
