Leiston go in search of a third straight win in the Bostik Premier Division tomorrow afternoon when they visit Harrow Borough, writes Craig Cooper.

The London side find themselves in 11th place in the table at the moment, five places below the Blues, but have recently gained excellent wins against Met Police and Folkestone Invicta, sides that currently occupy play-off places.

It is set to be a tough test for the Suffolk side.

However, Leiston have players coming back from injury, a happy situation for manager Glenn Driver, as his team look to get themselves back into the play-off positions.

“Our win against Kingstonian last weekend was very pleasing, especially in the first half, and we scored two well worked goals,” he said.

“It is nice to have a headache with team selection on Saturday as players are coming back from injury.

“It’s no secret that the players I’ve had out has taken its toll on the squad in recent weeks, and we know Harrow Borough will be a tough test.

“But we have Matt Blake and Tom Bullard back, while Kyle Hammond will be having a game for the Reserves, which everyone will be hoping he comes through and we will assess him from there.”

Leiston lost at Harrow Borough 3-1 last season towards the end of the campaign, with Joe Francis netting the Blues goal.

Indeed Leiston have won just the once at Harrow in five seasons.

This came in their first campaign in the Isthmian Premier in February 2013 when two Gareth Heath goals and a Patrick Brothers strike gave them the points in a 3-1 win.

It will be Leiston’s fourth match of a scheduled eight games in a packed December.

On Tuesday night they entertain Merstham, while next weekend there’s a big clash for Driver’s team at current leaders, Dulwich Hamlet.

The Blues’ date with Harrow is one of nine games in the league tomorrow, although Lowestoft Town have no match.

Leiston Reserves host Team Bury tomorrow afternoon at Victory Road, in the Thurlow Nunn First Division.
