THERE will be a new name on the Premier League Knock-Out Cup trophy after the Silver Ski Rockets beat holders Somerset Rebels over two legs.

Rye House overcame a 16-point first leg deficit to unseat the 2008 winners 56-34 in Hoddesdon.

The Rockets will now meet either Workington or Edinburgh in the semi-finals.

The Rockets lost the first leg of the KO Cup clash with Somerset 53-37 on Friday night. Linus Sundstrom ended the night as the Rockets' top scorer with two wins and 11 points, while Luke Bowen also made it into double figures with 10 and Tommy Allen enjoyed his best score since his return from injury to finish with a win and paid nine.

On the opposite side of the pits, Cory Gathercole was the clear man of the match for Somerset with his five ride full house. Steve Johnston was beaten only by Sundstrom in heat four and reserve Tom Brown enjoyed two wins in his personal nine point haul.

But the Rockets overcame the 16-point deficit with a 56-34 in the second leg in Hoddesdon to take the quarter-final 93-87 on aggregate.

Fittingly, captain Chris Neath celebrated his 250th official club appearance by top scoring with 14 points. Guest Jason Lyons, Tommy Allen and Luke Bowen also topped doubled figures.

Steve Johnson led the Rebels' reply with 14.
