RYE House Rockets face a hectic night of racing this Saturday in East Herts as they take on both King's Lynn Stars and Birmingham Brummies in the same evening.

The first on-track opposition for the Hoddesdon side will come from King's Lynn and the all-conquering Stars are most definitely the team to beat in 2009.

They are top of the Premier League and also through to both the Premier Trophy final and Knock-Out Cup semi-finals.

The team that has taken them to that position includes all-time Stars' ace, and one time Rockets guest, Tomas Topinka.

Also among their ranks are former Argentinian and Italian champion Emiliano Sanchez, 2005 World Under-21 semi-finalist Chris Schramm, World Under-21 final reserve Linus Eklof and Aussie teenager Darcy Ward, who has risen from reserve to No.1 in a single bound.

The Stars will be followed onto the circuit in their double header by Birmingham, who were last Saturday's originally scheduled opposition.

Headed by the 2009 Premier League Pairs champions Jason Lyons and Tomasz Piszcz, the Brummies' roster also includes the newly signed Rusty Harrison and back-to-back World Under-21 finalist Ludvig Lindgren.

Brummies are fourth in the league table, just one place ahead of Rye House.

Please note that in order to accommodate the 30 programmed heats, Saturday's fixture will start at the earlier than usual time of 6pm.

Admission prices for the double header are adults £20, seniors £16 and children £5.
