PETERBOROUGH complete their second visit to Monmore Green on bank holiday Monday, looking for an improved performance from the last occasion.

The Panthers were well beaten 3 weeks ago in the ELA fixture with only Kenneth Bjerre and captain Niels Kristian Iversen emerging from the match with any real credit.

Whilst it would be something off a major surprise for Panthers to get anything out of this B fixture, (Wolves have dropped just 1 point at home all season), the management are looking for a significant improvement following their recent away form.

Wolverhampton are currently fighting Swindon for the leagues top spot and have been a major force on their own track all season. The Wolves led by experienced campaigner Peter Karlsson and GP star Fredrik Lindgren and backed up by rising British youngster Tai Woffinden remain the only EL club with an unbeaten home record and they will be keen to complete that record on Monday.

The decision as to whether Kenneth Hansen rides or not for the Panthers will be taken over the weekend, as the Panthers star is currently set to be a reserve in the Nordic GP at Vojens tonight. If he is unfit Panthers will utilise the rider replacement facility.

Panthers team manager Trevor Swales said: “This must be one of the harder places to come and get anything from and only Swindon have managed it so far, It would be nice to come away with something but being honest its unlikely especially bearing in mind what happened 3 weeks ago, I would like to think however the riders will put on a better show than they did last time and show some improvement on their recent away form”.

Promoter Mick Bratley said: “Wolves home record this season is very impressive, but given the right circumstances, we can make major improvements on our last performance at Monmore Green”.

Owner Rick Frost said;”Away meetings don`t come much tougher than this but we will give it our best shot”.
