KENNETH Hansen misses Panthers' trip to Wolverhampton on Monday because of a fixture in Denmark, arranged and confirmed before he joined the Peterborough full time.

It's the first of two fixture clashes for the young Dane and reports about the clashes surfaced when he was having contract talks to join the Panthers for the season, following his 28 day short term deal.

Hansen misses what would have been his last appearance in a reserve race jacket, as he is due to move up into the team from July 1, while Panthers No.8 Andrew Tully replaces him at Monmore Green.

The Edinburgh and Wolverhampton tracks are of a similar shape and size and Tully scored a paid nine in the Edinburgh/Wolverhampton relegation play-off second leg at Monmore Green last season, so he has some experience of the circuit.

Promoter Mick Bratley said: “When we signed Kenneth we did so on the understanding that there were two meetings he had already committed to on the continent and that clashed with our fixture list.

“Unfortunately this is the first clash and I know that Kenneth is more than disappointed not to be able to ride at Monmore Green as I think he believes, quite naturally, he has a point to prove and that the Wolverhampton supporters never saw the best of him.

“That will have to wait now until later in the season. We will be using our number eight Andrew Tully and I have every confidence that he will perform well for us.”
