IPSWICH Witches riders will be out to put on a show at Foxhall Stadium tonight, as high-flying Wolverhampton head to Suffolk.

IPSWICH Witches riders will be out to put on a show at Foxhall Stadium tonight, as high-flying Wolverhampton head to Suffolk.

This time last year it was Ipswich who were flying high at the top of the Sky Sports Elite League, while Wolverhampton were on their way to a rock-bottom finish and a relegation play-off with Edinburgh.

Wolves won that and retained their place in the Elite League, but now it's a reversal of roles, with Wolves heading onwards and upwards, while Ipswich fight to stay away from any relegation play-off.

The importance of the meeting isn't lost on Witches boss Pete Simmons: “We have got to start winning at home from now on,” he said.

“We've made the team changes and we are looking for big things. The riders are in no doubt about that.”

Wolves arrive at Foxhall on the back of some impressive results and, in Freddie Lindgren, have one of the riders of the season so far.

Peter Karlsson rides Foxhall well, but Ipswich have a good home record against the Midlands side and indeed took all three points off them at Foxhall earlier in the season with a 50-41 victory.

The key to tonight's meeting could be in the reserve positions, where the Witches have failed to dominate recently.

However, with Wolves doubling-up rider Ty Proctor racing for Redcar in the Premier League, Ipswich could have the edge and that could be crucial.

Scott Nicholls is sure to get a good reception from the home fans as he returns to Foxhall, while all eyes will be on Norfolk-based Troy Batchelor, who was in such good form at Peterborough.
