ROBERT Miskowiak is set to return to the Witches team in time for their next league encounter against the Lakeside Hammers on the 25th June at Foxhall Stadium.

Having been left out of the Witches line up for 2009 Miskowiak has agreed to return to the club as they bid to climb in to a play off spot in the Sky Sports Elite League.

He will come in to the side to replace captain Leigh Lanham who suffered serious hand injuries in the very first meeting of the season and has struggled to regain his form since his return.

Commenting on the changes team manager Peter Simmons said: “I will be sad to see Leigh leaving us, as he never really got a fair chance to sort himself out after such a terribly unfortunate start to his season.

“He came to us with exactly the sort of attitude that I wanted, so to see him take such a heavy fall straight off was frustrating for us all and I am sure things would have been quite different had he have stayed fit.

“That said changes had to be made and if things don't pick up immediately then this may not be the only change I am forced to make.

“With other teams strengthening up we will do all we can to ensure we give our fans a competitive team to push for a play off spot. Robert had been an automatic choice since he came to Foxhall and I think the fact that he was not picked at the start of this season has made him more determined to show me what he can do.”
