THIS is one of the oldest photographs we've actually printed in the Green'Un.

THIS is one of the oldest photographs we've actually printed in the Green'Un.

Jackie Humphrey from Ipswich sent in the photograph.

“My auntie gave me this photograph,” Jackie said.

“Her father is on the front row, second on the left and his name was George Henry Roper.

“He worked at the British Xylonite Company at Brantham, near Ipswich and we think this was their football team.

“He died in 1927, but it would be nice to hear from someone to tell us more about the photograph.”

A very big thanks for this Jackie and perhaps it jogs someone's memory.

Like Jackie, you can scan and then e-mail photographs into us.

As long as they are more than six years old, we'll qualify them as Green'Un Gold.

And you can catch up on any old Green'Un Golds you may have missed. Just go to www.greenun24.co.uk and click under Gold.
