IPSWICH Town and Lowestoft Town will now play their John Banks Suffolk Premier Cup semi-final tie at Kirkley & Pakefield next Wednesday.
Ipswich had originally agreed to visit Lowestoft, but both Bury Town and Leiston - who meet in the other semi-final - complained as under competition rules the match has to be played at a neutral venue.
Suffolk FA yesterday announced that Kirkley’s Walmer Road ground will now host the match, kick-off 7.45pm.
The other semi-final, between Bury Town and Leiston, will take place at Needham Market’s Bloomfields ground the following Tuesday, March 12, kick-off 7.45pm.

This mess should never of happened. Leistons ground was offered to SFA before the draw was made. So there can be no excuse for lack of grounds.

Should be a sign up at Suffolk FA "PR Dept Closed Until Further Notice" What a cock-up, I would have thought the opportunity to "mend bridges" with local football would have been taken. But no, ineptitude by individuals at SFA prevails. Get Suffolk people in to run Suffolk football, people that know the local game from grass roots within the county. We have had two statesman of local soccer come and go within the SFA in recent times, I don't believe we would have experienced the recent goings on if they had remained. Doesn't the SFA realise their credibility is zero within the local scene. I have had first hand experience of their ineptitude and of not understanding the wishes of what all levels of Suffolk football HAVE to pay for in subscriptions and fines. Fortunately, I am no longer affiliated to any club so I can have my say without fear of the dreaded fines and having to sit at a tribunal on a charge of "bringing football into disrepute"....they're doing that ok on their own!!!!!

Why are the other two teams even worried - the early team who stood to be at a disadvantge were Ipswich who Suggested it!
