Bowditch, brother of former Ipswich Town and current MK Dons striker Lee Bowditch, joined AFC Sudbury at the start of this season from Concord Rangers. He then left to join AFC Hornchurch, but returned a few weeks later.

AFC Sudbury manager Chris Tracey said: “I’m sorry to lose Ben but he understands my position, he has been excellent in his time with us and I wish him well when he gets another club. I can only have a certain number of players in my squad.”

Townrow re-joins AFC Sudbury two years after being released by the club.

Upon leaving AFC Sudbury he went to Redbridge, then Maldon & Tiptree and has more recently been at Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division side Stanway Rovers, where his manager was ex-AFC Sudbury assistant boss Barry Lakin.

Townrow made his debut for AFC Sudbury as a 67th minute substitute in Tuesday night’s 1-0 home win over Waltham Forest - AFC Sudbury’s third successive victory - which has lifted them to tenth in the Ryman League Division One North table.
