BRIGHTLINGSEA Regent’s reward for reaching the third round proper of the FA Vase for the first time in their history is a home draw against fellow Thurlow Nunn League side Brantham Athletic.
Division One side Brightlingsea won 3-2 against London Lions, who had won eight of their previous nine matches, at Hemel Hempstead FC on Sunday to reach the last 64 of the competition.
Jake Holman and Liam Whittaker had twice given Brightlingsea the lead, only for the home team to equalise on both occasions, but Scott Page netted a 75th minute winner for the visitors.
They now host Premier Division side Brantham Athletic, who had to come from two goals down to beat ten-man Cambridge University Press 3-2 on Saturday, in the third round proper on Saturday, December 8.
Haverhill Sports Association, who defeated another Premier Division side in Dereham Town 2-1 on Saturday, have been handed a home tie.
The Kent Blaxill Border League Premier Division side will face Peacehaven & Telscombe, who are currently second in Division One of the Sussex County Football League in the third round proper.
It is a third successive home draw for Haverhill SA, who have now upset Norwich United, Ipswich Wanderers and Dereham Town, to reach this stage.
Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division Hadleigh United, 2-1 winners at Colney Heath on Saturday, will be at home to Oxhey Jets, who sit third in the Molten Spartan South Midlands Premier.
The Thurlow Nunn League’s other representatives both face away ties.
Ely City must travel to Bethnal Green United while Wisbech Town, who drew 2-2 at St Ives Town on Saturday and replay tomorrow night, will be at either Bootle or Thackley, if they get through.
Winning sides will each receive £1,500 for making it through to the fourth round proper.
