UNDERDOGS AFC Emley will not fear Hadleigh United as the Suffolk side tomorrow try to reach the last 16 of the FA Vase.

The Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division side travel to West Yorkshire to face AFC Emley for a fourth round proper tie which has already been postponed twice.

Hadleigh travel in good spirits following their 2-1 league win at second-placed Mildenhall Town on Tuesday night thanks to two Lee McGlone goals.

AFC Emley manager Darren Hepworth said ahead of the tie: “You are not going to get into the last 32 of a competition that ends at Wembley and not be up against a good team.

“We have had Hadleigh watched and they are very strong defensively and have a very hard-working midfield, so we know it will be a tough test.

“Having beaten higher-ranking opponents already, though, we will respect them but have no fear of them.

“We have home advantage and we are hoping that we will get a strong crowd behind us at the Welfare Ground.”

Hepworth is hoping the fact that Huddersfield Town are away to Derby County in the npower Championship will swell the gate tomorrow for a match he considers as the biggest in the club’s history, after AFC were formed in 2005.

“We have a lot of players from Huddersfield and we are hoping that Huddersfield’s football followers will come and support us - we do try to entertain, we score goals for fun, and we try to give everyone a good game to watch.

“Hopefully they will come and back us in the Vase an enjoy the experience with us.”

Hadleigh, who have new signing James Evans available after he joined from Needham Market, will have Darren Moyes in goal, after allowing Dan Heath to join Ryman League Premier Division Leiston on loan for two months.
