IPSWICH Town boss Roy Keane was delighted with the contribution of new boy Jason Scotland as his side rose to third in the table with a 2-0 home win over Bristol City.

Second-half goals from man-of-the-match Tamas Priskin and home debutant Scotland secured a comfortable victory, extending Town’s unbeaten start to the season to six games.

“I thought Jason was a real handful. He could have had a hat-trick today,” enthused Keane.

“He hit the bar, went close with another shot and got his goal. I thought it was a real poacher’s goal, and they are goals we did not get enough of last season.

“We need to score these sort of goals when the ball bounces off the keeper. We didn’t have a snipper at the club last season,” added Keane.

Town can now look forward to a two-week break, because of the internationals.
