DARREN O’Dea has pulled out of the Republic of Ireland squad, due to injury, and has returned to Ipswich Town for treatment.

O’Dea, who has impressed at left-back since his loan move from Celtic, is struggling with a knee problem. A scan has revealed only a slight sprain, but it is serious enough for him to miss tomorrow’s Euro 2012 qualifier against Andorra.

Town are back in action this Saturday, with a trip to Portsmouth, before back-to-back home matches against front-runners QPR and Cardiff.
