Grant Leadbitter looks shell-shocked as Ipswich Town fall to defeat in stoppage-time against Nottingham Forest.

NOTTINGHAM Forest manager Steve Cotterill admits he is a big admirer of Ipswich Town captain Grant Leadbitter – but says he is no longer interested in signing him.
Cotterill tried to bring the 25-year-old midfielder to Portsmouth just prior to the summer transfer window closing, but had a bid rejected by Blues boss Paul Jewell.
Since then, Leadbitter – in the final year of his contract – has turned down a new deal at Portman Road, while Cotterill has taken over at The City Ground.
But after watching his side twice come from behind to beat the visiting Blues 3-2 on Saturday, the Forest boss says he won’t be trying again for the Town’s skipper’s signature in January.
“There was some interest when I was at Portsmouth, yes,” admitted Cotterill, whose side inflicted a fourth straight defeat on Ipswich thanks to a brace of late goals – with the winner coming a minute into injury time.
“It wasn’t something I wanted made public, it was the same with David Norris – I like to do things properly.
“I don’t know whether that (interest in Leadbitter) will be renewed at Nottingham Forest though simply because we have a lot of central midfield players. There are other positions we probably need to look at.
“I’ve been an admirer of Grant for a long time, as I have a lot of players in the Ipswich team. I’ve come across most of them in the Championship at one time or another and I think they’re a real good bunch of lads.”
Jewell admitted last week that contract talks with Leadbitter are on hold for now, but that both parties were comfortable with the situation.

In the case of Grant Leadbitter they way he is playing I am not sure anyone would buy him - even if we paid them to take him away!

Rob Steroo - you come over as incredibly bitter, defensive and critical in every single post. As for Roy Keane, he has reached the top of his profession as a footballer.

Roy Keane can communicate and manage as well. The remainder does not warrant a response, and as I inferred you have achieved nothing.

Kevin Bailey... well I can communicate and manage...have never been sacked, nor injured somebody and boasted about it in my autobiography.... Is that enough to be going on with? If not, I along with every other person who has a modicum of sense I could see something in Jordan Rhodes that I would have built the club around, rather than sign Priskin, Murphy and Healy.

Steroo, and what have you achieved in your life compared to Keane? Nothing.

after our last four games im sure all the loanees want to go back to their parent clubs and we will have no interest in any of our players given their current form its the defense that has been the problem now for over 6 seasons why cant people see that its time to wake up and sort this shambles a few wins as before will not hide the cracks they will just carry on appearing until a proper repair is done

That is not surprising that no one is interested in Leadbitter anymore is it. Think PJ should sell him on ebay as he is a total waste of time playing him anymore. My choice is strip him of being skipper and give it to someone who can organise a very bad team at the moment. The way Leadbitter is playing think won't even get the reserve price for him on ebay ha ha. Oh well he might as well stay in the reserves at least he can't do to much damage there and get on with learning the game again enough said.

Alas Kevin Bailey, the only person clueless enough to buy Leadbitter is currently talking rubbish on ITV during chumps league matches. Besdt be patient until he leaves for nothing at season's end.

Perhaps we could give SC some cash, maybe he would then take him
