PAUL Jewell has again been rumoured to be considering a move for Watford keeper – and Ipswich Town fan – Scott Loach.
The 23-year-old, part of two England squads in 2010, is claimed to be high on Jewell’s list of potential number one keepers next season, according to Sky Sports.
Ironically, Loach lost his place in the Watford side to Tomasz Kuszczak, another said to be interesting the Ipswich manager.
Jewell currently only has Arran Lee-Barrett in his first-team squad with Watford are rumoured to be willing to listen to offers for Loach.
Speaking in December after Watford’s 2-1 win at Portman Road, Loach, whose goalkeeping hero is Richard Wright, said: “I was a boyhood fan and I’ll be a fan for the rest of my life. It is a fantastic club.”

Yes, please. This guy is a very good keeper, it would have to be a permanent deal and the guy wants to play for us. Come on Jewell snap him up as quickly as possible.

I like the idea of Loach. ITFC runs through his veins so it will come naturally to the fans to take to him. Regardless, whom ever Jewell bestows the No1 top on needs to be a) Permament (no more of this loanee rubbish) -and- b) Given a good run in the side. Last seasons clowning around with Jewell's magic-round-a-bout selection process needs to stop.

How good would it be? Loach a Town supporter in goal and ALB as second, yes ALB had some nightmares last season but I think he didn't get the acolades he deserved for some of his appearences in goal, an excellent No1 and No2 and with Elliott Hewitt joining the likes of Cressie and Smith in the back line would'nt it be a great start to building that hard to beat defence we all crave.

Exactly the type of player we want at the club. A player with plenty of potential.

Again, would be a good signing and if we can get him as professionally as we got Elliott Hewitt then you can believe things are taking shape.
