KIERON Dyer has been given a stay of execution by QPR after agreeing a one-year contract extension.
The Ipswich-born midfielder played just seven minutes of Premier League football with the Hoops last season getting injured on the opening day of the season.
But Mark Hughes has opted to give the former England international another chance to provide he is still a top-flight footballer.
QPR have also offered a new contract to defender Clint Hill who had been linked with a move to Leeds United to join up with former boss Neil Warnock.
Elsewhere Peter Ramage, Danny Gabbidon, Danny Shittu, Fitz Hall, Gary Borrowdale, Lee Cook, Rowan Vine and Patrick Agyemang will all leave QPR when their contracts expire at the end of June.

Interesting that the sort of player Jewell cannot resist... old, injury-prone & utterly pointless is the only one so far this week you have not postulated Town are in the 'race' for.

Yowzer- KD must have the best agent in Football. "You've only palyed 7mins all season Kieron. What Can I say. I know I wasnt here at the time but that was best 7 mins i have seen from anyone all season. Have a new contract" I can not belive that he has manged to wangle that. I look forward to seeing him push the heighst and maybe mange an entire half next year. Shame because if it wasnt for injury I really think we would have achieved more in the game. But to go blag yet another contract after playing just 7 mins of a season. Impressive.
