CARLOS Edwards has been named players’ player of the year at last night’s end-of-season dinner.
The right-back’s consistent season was recognised by his peers while Andy Drury, who spent three months on loan at League Two Crawley Town earlier this season, picked up the John Kerridge Memorial Trophy for the club’s most improved player.
Lee Martin won the Corporate Customers, Sponsors and Boxholders’ player of the season while the Town goal of the season was Jason Scotland’s rocket at Crystal Palace earlier this month.
Icelandic youngster Gunnar Thorsteinsson picked up the Harold Smith Trophy for the academy’s most improved player.

IAS, 82 opportunities but how may starts, and how much managerial support. We must agree to disagree on Jason I fear. .

It's interesting you say that, John, but his 18 goals in 82 opportunities so far doesn't really back up your regard for him. I agree he has been better of late but, like Leadbitter, I suggest that is more to do with his trying to attract other offers rather than his goodwill towards ITFC- otherwise, why hasn't he just signed the contract offered? Like Chopra, works hard but one decent season at this level doesn't make him worth accolades.

There would have been more from Jason if PJ had not kept him sitting on the bench so often.
