Mick McCarthy spoke to the media after news of his summer departure from Ipswich Town this morning.

It was revealed this morning that the Blues boss will be departing in the summer after five-and-a-half years at the helm, following a meeting with owner Marcus Evans last night.

That announcement comes at a time when the club has revealed a 10 per cent drop in season ticket prices for next season, with Evans admitting many fans will be waiting for clarification regarding McCarthy before committing to a new season ticket.

The pair have both said they felt it is the best for all parties if they part this summer, with Evans paying tribute to his manager for firstly keeping the club in the Championship after arriving in 2012/13 before reaching the play-offs two years later.
