New signing Ryan Stevenson, Jimmy Bullard, Grant Leadbitter and loan keeper Alex McCarthy all played.

No wonder promising young players are forced out on loan when goalkeeper, midfield and striker slots are plugged up by pointless Jewell signings. The travails of Lee-Barrett have been glossed over by you lazy EADT journos - but Cropper suffers just as much further down this ridiculous self-inflicted pecking order.

Looks like our reserves could be bench warming for some time to come if the first team keep winning!
