Does anyone think that Dean Bowditch maybe should be given another chance?!
He's been doing well out on loan and now in the reserves........4 goals isnt a bad game is it?!
He could give something different from what seems a bit of a tired, stale front line at the moment, surely he would be worth one game at least, just see what happens Jim!
I am of the view he has been given one more chance too many times. He has always looked very skilful but too lightweight. There is little to choose between him and Billy Clarke. I think they will make a good player at League 1 level but can't ever see them doing the business in the Premiership. (I would love to be proven wrong, though.) If Town are going to give a youngster a chance then I think Jordan Rhodes is the best bet. Don't expect too much too soon, though. Connor Wycombe should not be forgotten, either. As for all those who want to see the back of Lisbie, Counago and/or Stead, perhaps they should look at their records first. They might not be setting the division on fire at the moment, but are they getting the service they need?
Also note that, although Bowditch scored 4 last night, there were 5 other goals scored by Town. It was nowhere near the same level of football as the Championship.
I guess 15 minutes on the left wing wasn't quite what you had in mind; but was it only Jim that didn't see that as inevitable when he took Garvan off? It does feel like he is now in the twilight of his Town managerial reign.
