Sudbury Wanderers Football Club, who amalgamated with Sudbury Town FC in 1999 to form AFC Sudbury, would have been 50 years old this year.
To celebrate the event, a reunion of former Wanderers players/committee members is being planned for next month.
Sudbury Wanderers FC was formed at a meeting on June 28th 1958, at the Black Horse public house in East Street, where Wally Brown was the landlord and driving force behind the formation of the club. Several original members are still involved with AFC Sudbury.
