Marooned in Tractor land

Oh dear! The media frenzy has eclipsed all and sundry surrounding the appointment of Roy Keane. I quite like Mr Keane…well, I did up until now! Surely the club could have waited until pre season before using up all the column inches and removing the non league clubs chances of some coverage. Many, many people are moving away from the professional game and following non league and I just don’t mean Ipswich Town fans. So perhaps the local papers might bare this in mind and stop believing that everyone in Suffolk is interested what happens at Portman Road, there are far more important issues at grass root level. Then again, I guess we all haven’t got season tickets to sell!

Nice to see that you devoted your only posting in a month to I.T.F.C. & Roy Keane. Plenty more to write about in non league i think, having read the excellent coverage both in the 'Greenun' & the E.A.D.T. over past weeks. Try using some of your own column inches a little more frequently & be a little less bitter. By the way, its not just everyone in Suffolk that's interested in events at Portman Rd,it's a large part of North Essex too.

GAG.. get real..
Whilst I agree, non league football should get more column inches..
It is best the club acted when they did so Keano could decide who he wanted to keep/lose etc, rather than losing the players eg. Bruce could've gone.. and bing in new blood for pre season.
I'm sure the last thing on ITFC's mind when appointing was, how can we take over the papers instead of the non league!
