Location, location, location

Nothing to do with a terrestrial TV channel programme but the scourge of all Ridgeons League sides aiming to progress up the non league ladder. Poor old Lowestoft, the best supported side at Step Five level and in some cases, much higher, but due to their most easterly location will they ever sustain a challenge at a higher level their support deserves? Whilst former Ridgeons League sides continue to moan (and rightly so) about the Football Associations League structures, why on earth can’t a Ryman Eastern League be introduced catering for East Anglia? From the M25 up to the Wash and around to South Essex see, its easy to introduce! The standard of football, support and facilities put the majority to shame elsewhere so why can’t this be portrayed where it is deserved by giving all clubs a fair chance to climb what is currently a rung less ladder.

Gag well said this is something that the Essex Clubs ave talked about for sometime. It mAkes sense to have an eastern league from the Thames right up to the Wash It is nonsense that Clubs like AFC Sudbury and Bury Town travel to the Welsh Border to play football what has happened to the F A 's idea to keep football local to cut the expense of long distance travelling. Just think was problems Leiston or Lowesfoft are going to encounter if they get promotion into Step Four at the end of the season.Perhaps the Liaison Committee will show some common sense at the end of the current season when they discuss where the clubs will play football next season.
