Grant waiting for Norris return

GRANT Leadbitter is looking forward to the return of injured star David Norris, but he has revealed that he is yet to train with the ex-Plymouth man.

Town fans are hoping that Leadbitter and Norris will eventually form a strong partnership in the middle of the park, something that has been missing so far this campaign.

Norris is making good progress after damaging knee ligaments during the opening day defeat at Coventry City - three weeks later, and Leadbitter arrived at Portman Road in a £2.65m transfer from Sunderland.

“Who knows whether we will click together. You never know,” said Leadbitter this afternoon.

“As yet, we haven't trained together. But I hope to link up well with him, and he'll be a big addition to the squad.”

It was originally estimated that Norris would be out of action for at least four months, which would equate to a return in mid-December.
