COLCHESTER United booked a place in the Essex Senior Cup final, after an experienced second string coasted to victory at Concord Rangers on Canvey Island tonight.

The U’s cantered into a four-goal lead by half-time, thanks to a hat-trick by Andy Bond and one from Wright.

Bond converted one penalty, and also missed one, as well as netting his second with a solo goal and a third by converting Ben Coker’s cross.

Concord improved after the break but the U’s stood firm to keep a clean-sheet.

They will face Canvey Island in the final.
